Blog April 30 05 Bill Meikle
(bcmeikle@shaw.ca)
Recently I've been inspired by a few other bloggers
zefrank
and stretchdaily
and when w
illiam gibson
started blogging again
and Bruce Sterling
, so I've felt a need to blog again.
Another thing that's got me thinking more about computers/web life
lately is getting the monthly reports on hits to my site.
The blog entry on
vertical gardening
, the song called
jokes
, and the medical research on
ms and
ldn
and the
panoramic video camera
I invented and put up a movie from, get all the hits. I think that's cool.
I'm inspired by the fact that what people are interested in on my site also
interests me. If the things that got the most hits were things that I hate
(as has been the case in the past) I'd just use it as depression fodder.

such is the nature of blogging that it captures many moods. After the big
crash of 2001
many high tech people I know started blogging while unemployed. That was
the first I became
aware of it. This was blogging as therapy and I suppose my first blogging
in 2003 would fall into
that category.
now I don't know....
I always thought that multimedia blogging would evolve, that's why I like
zefrank's site so much. His
video stuff really makes me laugh, and he clearly is developing some pretty
cool chops as a programmer. His
art and writing are both good too, so I like the kind of renaissance nature
of his discipline.
dunno. time passes. we live on. events unfold. decisions are made. aesthetics
are followed. dreams are lived out.
